Henley Recovery Cafe

Between 2012 – 2016 we ran a monthly Recovery Cafe in Henley – open to people in recovery or family members supporting the recovery journey of others.

The cafe gave people the opportunity to meet others – a very powerful and necessary part of a healthy recovery journey.

We were always encouraged by how people said they felt able to be themselves, no pressure, no agenda, no judgement.

While we are moving away from a Henley based recovery café we are excited to be developing an extended programme of events and services nationally and will continue to use the space for future events.

We will continue to help people initiate and sustain recovery by creating chances to connect, help people find work and get access to housing – ultimately setting people on a path to normal living.

  1. Sounds good, though am a bit confused as what you can offer that AA can’t (I’m a regular AA attendee). Many thanks.

  2. Hi Thomas – thanks for your message. We have links to AA and don’t try to offer what they do. We just provide a safe space for people in recovery from any form of addiction or anyone who has been affected (friends / families / colleagues) to meet and chat informally – it’s not a meeting. We are putting on a conference this Sat 23 Nov, bringing together all forms of recovery services and real life stories and are screening a new film ‘The Anonymous People’ for free on the 28 Nov as part of the Recovery Cafe evening, feel free to drop in and see what we’re all about if you are able to!
